A friendly gay golfing society meeting at least monthly within the M25 area, with additional events in the South West and abroad. website: www.ironsgolf.org.uk Irons is a friendly gay golfing society based in Great Britain. We play collectively at least once each month on a Sunday in the Summer at courses in the London area, usually within the M25. We also have a knockout tournament. We also arrange tours lasting several days both in the UK and abroad. Each year we usually have a Spring golf week which in 2004 was in Thailand and in 2005 in Spain, a Summer tour which in 2004 was in France, a May weekend in Bristol, an August weekend in Bath and an Autumn golf week which is usually in the Bournemouth area. Irons is open to all gay and lesbian golfers. You do not need to be an expert at the game, although we are unable to accept complete beginners and you must be able to play to a handicap of 36 or below. We are, we hope, a friendly and welcoming group. Increasingly we hope to make contact with other lesbian and gay golfing groups around the world. Any lesbian or gay golfers who are visiting the UK will be most welcome to join us on one of our golf days.
