Ishigaki Ju-Jitsu Club

A Martial Arts club for lesbians, gay men and their friends, friendly, social and fabulous!

We are a martial arts club, part of the Jikishin Ju-Jitsu Association. We meet four times weekly, with three sessions in London (Monday, Thursday and Saturday) and Sunday afternoons in Brighton. Sessions are open to people of all levels, especially beginners. New starters are taken carefully through key techniques of defence and falling safely. More advanced students learn locking and immobilisation techniques as well as use of weapons and defences against knives and multiple attackers. The social side of the club is well-developed with pub sessions after every lesson, two major parties a year and many other events in between.
