It has been ten years since our club was founded at the Central Station pub in Kings Cross. From our initial half dozen members we now have a membership of over 150 players and supporters, which enables us to run a full fixtures list for both our 1st XV, mainly league games where we play in the Essex 3 league of the English County Championships, and our 2nd XV, which plays more social rugby against teams throughout the South East. The 1st XV also competes in the Powergen Junior Vase competition, whilst the 2nd XV are entering their first domestic competition this year in the shape of the Essex President's Cup. Away from the South East, our 1st XV competes in the InterClub Challenge which is an annual competition between ourselves, Manchester's Village Spartans RUFC and Edinburgh's Caledonian Thebans RFC. This is a growing competition and next season we hope to be playing against new teams from Bristol and Dublin. We have a lively social calender and have dedicated social and supporter officers who are always delighted to welcome new supporters, friends and players.
