Northern Wave strives to be a socially inclusive community swimming club.  It is affiliated to the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) and has a Masters team which regularly competes both at home and abroad.  In 2002/3 the club will be developing swimming opportunities for disabled people and contributing towards a reduction in Hate Crime and Homophobia across our community.

Northern Wave Swimming Club meets at Moss Side Leisure Centre (behind the Asda in Hulme) every Tuesday at 8pm till 9.30pm. The pool is split into two halves for the first 45 minutes, including three lanes on one side for coaching and the other three for swim as you please. During the second 45 minutes the lanes come out and we play fun Water Polo, with the rules depending on the referee's personal style. The evening is rounded off with snacks and a drink at Taurus, our sponsoring watering hole in Canal Street. We hire the whole pool area, ensuring a friendly and safe environment where you can be at ease.  Please come and join in whenever you are in the area.
 
Additionally, we meet at The Aquatics Centre, Oxford Road, Manchester (Commonwealth Pool), where we join in with a public session so we can train in a 50 metre pool.  We are usually in the next to the furthest lane from the showers (You will enter the pool area from the showers).
